POSITION SUMMARY
The Finance Director is a vital financial executive responsible for managing: (1) monthly accounting cycle (2) year-end close (3) cost reporting (4) cash management, and (5) financial reporting & analysis. This position also provides direct support and supervision of the agency’s Accounting staff. Additionally, the Finance Director works in a collaborative manner with other departments and directors to ensure: (i) compliance with financial policies, procedures, and controls; (ii) efficient, uninterrupted workflows required for data gathering and reporting, and (iii) timely reporting of operating results to program and department directors. The Finance Director reports directly to the CFO. Key constituents that this role interfaces with include Client Accounts, Programs, Facilities, Human Resources, Information Technology and Development staff.

QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS)
The successful candidate should have experiences that include the following:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field. Master's degree/CPA preferred. Equivalent experience to advance degree/professional certification will be considered.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a responsible leadership role with the Finance/Accounting function of a not for profit agency.
Must demonstrate teamwork and communication skills and possess a proven track record of relating to compliance in relation to governmental agencies and public and private funding agencies.
Proven ability to develop and implement policies, procedures and initiatives.
Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
Proven track record as a player/coach with the ability and willingness to move fluidly between being a strategist to “rolling up your sleeves” and delving into tactical details (i.e. Nothing is beyond this person and nothing is beneath this person).
Willingness to work on a flexible schedule.
