Exciting opportunity for someone that is newer in the tax and bookkeeping field. Come grow with us! We are a small Tri-Valley office providing tax, accounting, and other related financial services to individual and small business clients. We are looking for an employee with at least 2 years experience that has the ability to perform tax preparation, a little bookkeeping and payroll (and wanting to learn more), to replace our long time employee that is moving put of state in October. We are willing to expand training, but basic knowledge of Taxation and bookkeeping required. This is a 25hr (10am-4pm M-F) during slow season up to 40 hr per week during tax season. Year-round, permanent position (Some Saturdays during Tax Season as needed). We will be hiring in October 2017. Job Responsibilities: Data collection from clients Payroll, Account Reconciliation, Financial Statement Generation, Journal Entries Prepare 1099s, Sales Tax Returns Setup Quickbooks for clients and address client questions Prepare income tax returns using Drake Perform review on completed tax returns Interact with clients from data collection to tax return / bookkeeping / payroll processing Respond to agency letters promptly and correctly Prioritizing tasks and other administrative needs Review returns with clients Help with scheduling, assembling, and other tax season administrative tasks Responsible for follow up and staying organized Responsible for own continuing education - some outside education provided by employer.

Requirements: Required Skills / Experience: 2 years work experience in tax return preparation, bookkeeping, payroll processing Highly Organized, Detail-oriented, Reliable, and Responsible Highly Proficient with Quickbooks and Excel Ability to perform independently with minimum supervision High comfort level with working in a small office setting with only 3-5 other professionals Ability to prioritize Good Oral and Written communication skills Ability to pass a full background check Qualifications: 2 years experience in an accounting and tax practice Current CRTP (CTEC Registered) and PIN Number (Required) Experience with Drake (Lacerte knowledge ok also) and Quickbooks

Salary: $17.00 to $18.50 per hour
