Clerk-Experienced Level employees may advance to Clerk-Senior Level ($3,210-$4,100/mo.) after satisfying the requirements. Also, there are potential advancement opportunities to other specialized and supervisory clerical positions.

Tentative Written Exam: June 27, 2017 and June 28, 2017


Experience: One (1) year of full-time office clerical experience, or equivalent animal services related clerical experience.

Please note regarding typing skills: Most clerical positions require the ability to type at a speed of not less than 40 words per minute from clear manuscript or printed or typewritten copy.

2. Written Examination: A written test, consisting of multiple-choice questions, will be administered to all accepted applicants. Test items may consist of the following job-related assessment categories: Alphabetizing and Filing; Grammar; Vocabulary; Reading and Understanding Written Material; Customer Service; Interpersonal Skills; and Basic Arithmetic. Candidates must achieve a score of 70, which may be an adjusted score in accordance with the Personnel Management Regulations. (Weighted 100%)
The Human Resources Department may change the examination steps noted above in accordance with the Personnel Management Regulations and accepted selection practices. As part of the application process, an applicant may be required to complete a Conviction History form. The Conviction History form should only be submitted when requested.
